Everyone seems to be on the "American Made" bandwagon these days. Why not, it certainly seems to sell, but don't fool yourself, those claims are more a gimmick than anything else. Sure, in many cases products are "assembled" in America, but not as many as you would think. When you're buying cheap blinds from these firms, ask yourself, if they're American-made, how can they be so cheap? The reason is simple, imported goods from emerging markets, aka, CHINA.
WE SELL ONLY AMERICAN-MADE PRODUCTS........IF YOU LIVE IN UTOPIA
If your retailer is offering "like-wood" shutter or horizontal blind products, there's a high probability it came out of China. If your retailer is sporting faux wood shutters, nearly all of them are coming out of China. Many local blind companies and a good majority of online retailers are offering more and more products coming out of Southeast Asia, which gives them a clear competitive edge on rock-bottom pricing. Does this matter, maybe it does, maybe it doesn't, but our opinion is that mass-produced, low-quality products belong in big box retail, not window-covering design centers. Remember that marketing slogans are just words on a board, they don't cover your windows.
